About

We are a team of law teachers and English language teachers working at universities in Hong Kong. We have designed this website for law students, their teachers, and anyone with an interest in language and the law. The website’s videos and teaching materials aim to promote effective communication and advocacy skills among Hong Kong law students, many of who may be using English as a second language. In order to address their particular communication needs, we combine the knowledge of legal experts and language experts to produce a range of video-based materials and language-focused exercises. If you are a student or teacher of law, we hope that you will be able make use of these materials in your lessons or your private study.

Our Mission

Promoting effective communication and advocacy skills for law students and legal professionals

Our Funding

This website and the videos on it have been made possible by a collaborative, language-related project funded by the University Grants Council of Hong Kong.

Our Logo

Our logo depicts three stacked scrolls, traditional tools for communicating knowledge and wisdom. The intertwined lines represent the continuous cycle of learning for law students as they navigate the stages of their academic and professional careers.
